The Best Microbrewery in Kelowna is Celebrating Its One-Year Anniversary!
It’s hard to imagine that just one year ago we opened our dream brewpub, Railside Brewing! After years of planning, our goal of owning a microbrewery finally came to fruition. We have been overwhelmed by the support and feedback from the community. Throughout the course of this last year, it has been an incredible journey getting to know our staff, local beer enthusiasts, and showing tourists of Kelowna what beer in the Okanagan is all about. On Saturday, August 5th, Railside will be celebrating its official one-year anniversary! We’re not sure what our celebration will entail just yet, but we encourage you to stay tuned to our social media for the latest updates—there may be cake 😉 For the time being, we’d like to get everyone excited about Railside’s anniversary by taking a step back and looking at our grand opening!
Rewind to Railside’s Grand Opening (August 5th, 2022)
365 days ago, we opened our doors to the community and haven’t looked back since. After countless hours of renovations, making tweaks, and getting the necessary permits, we are happy to say that all of that is in the past. Since opening, we now offer nine different in-house brewed beers and a selection of wines and ciders. In addition to this, Railside has become a hub for local food truck vendors to showcase their cuisine to the patrons of our microbrewery. But what’s a good beer and a greasy snack without some entertainment?
We quickly understood after opening that it was going to take more than an excellent pint to win over the hearts of the community. This is why we started hosting weekly events like comedy nights, games, and local happenings. Just a few weeks ago we were the proud hosts of the annual Bike to Work Week celebration in Kelowna that encourages locals to ditch their cars and opt for a greener method of transportation. Railside saw hundreds of community members gather in lieu of this occasion—from vendors to beer lovers, and bike enthusiasts.
From day one Railside has been committed to creating a space where all community members from the neighbourhood can come together and share in their passion for artisanal brews.

Our unique location along the rail trail has been a key component in our success as a brewery. Situated at kilometre 49 is where you’ll find our humble brewpub. Whether you’re going for a run, taking a spin on your bike, or cruising on some rollerblades, Railside is the perfect place to stop and grab a drink. Quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger all in one place! The location couldn’t be more convenient for rail trail users. Once you’ve finished at our establishment, continue along your way—whatever that may be.

Beer is an art. And, it’s one that we’d like to think we’ve perfected. Our brewmasters worked for years before Railside opened to perfect the very recipes we serve our patrons today. Railside classics like the Summer Ale, Marker 49, and Paul’s Pale Ale are concoctions we’ve been brewing since Railside was just a dream.
